As mentioned in my previous post, Four Future Travel Trends Post-Coronavirus, some of the first travel to return will be local travel: city residents and nearby suburbanites exploring their hometown’s restaurants, museums, parks, and local attractions. After living in (and loving) Seattle for over a year, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite restaurants and activities to create a sample itinerary for a “Weekend in Seattle”. Obviously, there is so much more to do than can fit in just one weekend (and Seattle aficionados may notice some notable things missing from my lists) but this is a great start to explore the beautiful Emerald City.
Whether you’re in Seattle or your own hometown, please support small, locally-owned businesses. If we want our favorite restaurants and shops to survive in a post-coronavirus world, they need our support and they need it soon.
